In the Community
The physicians and staff at Orthopaedic Associates strive to contribute to the community. Whether we are giving of our time, talent or resources, the overlying theme of helping others to live well shines through. There is a saying, “without your health what good is wealth?” At Orthopaedic Associates (OA) we whole heartedly agree with that saying. This was the premise behind our new slogan, “This is your life, live it well.” Our new slogan is inspiring us to look at all areas of living well. Dictionary.com defines wellness as “the state or condition of being in good physical and mental health.” At OA we recognize keeping you well is more than healing the body. It is for that reason that we launched two programs that focus on overall wellness, with local youth and the community as a whole.
OA Live Well is a program that will provide grants to qualifying schools. The grants awarded will direct funds to achieving wellness goals in schools within Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey and Henderson counties. $5,000.00 per year will be awarded.
Over the past several years, OA employees have really made it their mission to become more community minded. All of the physicians were impressed by the staff’s ability to band together to help and felt that a more structured, organizationally supported system should be put in place. OA Live to Give picks one charity/organization each month to focus on. Whether it be money or time given, all employees work together to make a difference.
